    Hi,

I use windows XP SP2 Home Edition OEM. I -supposedly- use two languages, but I keep getting a third one displaying in the Language Bar. When I simply remove it, it keeps getting back after a while (a day or so!)

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance

Hi cipherion and welcome on board.

Have you checked Control Panel > International and Language Options > "Langage" tab > Details > Preferences? (The exact wording might be slightly different on your system - I'm translating back from my Italian system and my memory of the English version - but fundamentally that's the path.)

This should allow you to control what appears in the Language bar, or indeed (as I do, using only one language input) ensure nothing appears there. I've deleted any default languages loaded when installing the OS (i.e., US English), and have no further need for anything in the Language bar.

You can always add a new language in Control Panel (same path as above) if one day you decide to buy a Swedish keyboard...
