My printer is an HP Officejet 4315v All-in-one. It is set up as a shared printer on my home network. The desktop will print just fine. The wireless laptop will not print. When I click the print button, the printer window opens and has a message..Unable to connect.

If I right click printer icon and choose properties, I get, printer properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler is not running.

I have been to control panel, administrative services and it says the print spooler STATUS is Started, and the startup type is Automatic.

    What now?

    Win xp Home
    IE 7

I could still use some suggestions about my printer problem. Still cannot print wireless from my Laptop. When I click print and choose the printer, HP OFFICEJET 4300 series, I get the status..Unable to connect. I cannot go into properties, says, The printer spooler service is not running, but administrative services list Print Spooler as started and set to Automatically connect. If I hardwire via USB to the printer, all goes well. The wired desktop also has no problem printing.
The wireless network is set up and I can connect to internet wireless from the laptop.

    Thanks Pete,

I'm sure someone can come up with a solution. For what it's worth, when I am on the desktop, I can see the shared files on the laptop. But when I am on the laptop and click Network Places, I cannot see the shared files that are on the desktop. Something about not having permission to view these files.
