Does msconfig work in Windows 2000 or is the run command different?

Thanks for the quick reply Arie, much appreciated. Is there something that shows what is running in the background of the pc and enables you turn unnecessary programs off at start up?

I had used Startup Control Panel for a few years, but discovered that some programs can re-enable themselves. I switched to Autoruns after installing XP last year. It will run on any version of Windows including 64-bit and Vista.
