Having trouble with auto reply in outlook express

I just posted but it disappeared!!

My auto reply won't work properly, I get friends emailing back that they couldn't read it or it came as an attachment.... I've tried saving my "reply" email either as a .txt or .eml but both don't work.

Is there a secret to this???

I don't quite know what ya mean by "Auto Reply "? I have Reply & Reply to all in my winxp OE! Click on tools & see if "Encrypt" &/or "Digitaly Sign" is checked. Have the email client open as you would be create new message to get the menu

 

No, this is different..

No, it's for when I'm gone. You can pick a "rule" to "reply to all" with a email saying whatever you want. I want mine to say when I'll be back in town but it never works.

It seems to say that if you have more than one message rule, the system may not get to ones lower on the "do list ".
