I am having a problem with the XP PRo installation. I have an AMD Athlon 3000+ running on a MSI 7025 K8N Neo2 Platinum board with two 250 GB HD running in RAID 0 with the OS in the 15GB c: partition. I have also another sata HD on Sata3. Because of performance problems with my old XP installation i want to format C: and reinstall XP. But after hitting F6 during the installation and using the two drivers on my nforce3 SATA RAID disc the installation stops soon after with a black screen and a blinking white cursor in the top left. If i only install the nvidia raid driver from the floppy disc the installation continues but xp only shows the entire raid array and not the c: partition. I once reinstalled xp with no problems after formating c: but i have no clue why it isn´t working this time.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the BBS,
Not that I have a lot of experience with RAID...anyway. Disconnect the HDD on SATA 3 until after you have installed Windows. I hope it is that simple.

    User's manual:
    http://www.dfi.com.tw/Upload/Manual/nvraid manual2.pdf
Bootable RAID array, page 22, in case you have missed something.

Hopefully, without the third HDD connected, Windows setup will see the C: partition.

If you are still stuck, check the boot sequence. If you have changed the boot sequence to boot from the CD drive, the RAID controller may no longer be listed.

    Thank you very much.
Physicaly removing the third sata HD made it possible to install both raid drivers from the disk and the installation didn´t crash to the black screen.
My system is up and running again.

Seems the problem was not in the RAID setup, but rather in the install/OS setup.

Thanks very much for the feedback.
