Hello, can you help me to search which is stable and good qc harddisk. but
because my computer is too OLD computer, Pen II , 300Mhz. 256ram, 40GB harddisk, winxp.

I no sure this matherboard can support 80GB harddisk.

Because I only found min 80GB harddisk (around $40 +/-$2 USD?), <80GB that price $$$ is more than >=80GB...???

    I do not understand?

And , now year2007, that harddisk is only SATA ? any IDE Mode4. UDMA66....this product..?

If answer is NO. that UDMA100,UDMA133 IDE harddisk can downgrade to UDM66, IDEmode4 ?

    Please!

    Lot's of HD's on ebay.

Yes, these days new hard drives are almost all SATA/SATA2. The older drives are just too slow. That's progress for you.

AFAIK any IDE hard drive will work at a slower speed.

Well, we are not clairvoyant, so you'll have to post the model of your motherboard to be able to find out what HD would be supported.

It should support anything under 137GB without a problem. Failing that you'd just have to get a BIOS upgrade. Not sure what's available for such an old motherboard, but going from 40 > 80GB shouldn't be a problem.
