    Hi there.

I Just change the MB of my old dell optiplex desktop, but since then I can't connect it to my Ethernet, and got the usual error message: "limited or no connectivity ". I tried running the different solutions that windows offers and nothing happens, then I run the OS command prompt ipconfig/release; renew and the answer was that my pc is unable to connect to my DHCP server. How I can fix it? :(

    thanks

well I did the repair process, but still I got the same message: limited o no connectivity. I download an reinstall the driver for the ethernet, th decie is working.
An when I click on repair this connection, the last dialog box says that I can not renew my IP.
    What else I can do?

Either the driver is not there
Go to device manager and look for it
You can always put in a pci card in a desktop
or a usb card or whatever alternate network adapter you want
do not think you told us the os
If it is windows xp you may need the motherboard install disk ( has the onboard drivers) in addition to the windows install disk
    Newer than windows xp
Windows 98 misses a lot of network adapter drivers as well
If it is installed try uninstalling tci/ip for the network card
Reboiot and it will build the networking

Have you installed the chipset drivers from the motherboard CD?
