    Hi, croth. :)

I expect this thread will be moved to the Removing Spyware & Viruses forum as that seems to be a more appropriate forum for your issue.

I Googled {47C54F02-1B28-45F1-AE46-B5CDFB6E7926} duocore.dll and the results seem to indicate a correlation between your C:\WINDOWS\duocore.dll and the Trojan.W32.Looksky trojan you mentioned.

I Googled LuckyDownloadsSearch.exe and came up with only ONE result (which is very unusual when Googling file names). Therefore, I am suspicious about that file and it might be a new malware variant.

After some poking around, I suspect at least those two files are infected as well (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=111210).

Please patiently wait for expert guidance before proceeding with malware removal. :)

While you wait for expert guidance, I'd be curious to see details regarding what Jotti's Online Scan has to say about the LuckyDownloadsSearch.exe file.

    Hi croth,

If you previously downloaded ComboFix, please delete the copy you have. I want you to have the latest version.

Download ComboFix by sUBs from Here or Here, saving the file to your Desktop.
    • Close all open programs and windows
    • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    • When finished, it will open a log for you. Post that log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Did you knowingly set your internet connection's DNS server to use Open DNS? If not, I would suspect it was done by Spybot. It reportedly does that now if certain infections are found during a scan. If you didn't set it yourself, I would also like to see your last Spybot scan log. Open Spybot in Advanced mode and select Tools in the left pane, then View Report. Select View previous report, then choose the latest Fixes log.

Since there is a limit to the amount of text in one post, you may need to post several replies to get all of the logs posted.

You would be wise to dump the file sharing apps. They are a good source for getting infected. ;)

Empty the recycle bin when done, then clean out old System Restore points.

Clear past system restore points and create a new one.
Right click My Computer and select Properties. On the System Restore tab, check the box to turn System Restore off. Click Apply. Now, uncheck the box and click Apply. Click OK, then OK to close the System Properties dialog.

Verify a new restore point was created.
    Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
Select 'Restore my computer to an earlier time', then click next.
You should have a newly created System Checkpoint available. If so, click Cancel. If not, click Back and select 'Create a restore point' then click Next. Give the restore point a name and click next.

You would do well to install a software firewall as well. Both Zone Alarm and Comodo are free and come highly recommended.

    Looks good! I'd say you're clean. :)

Based on an entry in your log, I want to pass along a quote from a fellow MVP and recognized malware removal expert.
