I forget if the bar at the bottom of the screen is called taskbar or not, but I'm hoping so because then my title made sense. How can I move my application windows along the taskbar? Say I have 5 windows open and I need to switch between the first and last window, can I move the first one to the end? I know I could just use Alt+Tab for a couple of windows, but sometimes my documents are named very similarily, so it'd be convenient if I could put them in an order.

I hope that that made sense, if it didn't let me know and I will try to re-explain.

Generally it is hold left mouse button drag and drop ( repeatedly)
You may have to turn a lock control off
These things are maddening to newbies who are shocked that their windows have changed all by themselves
No comment to you - just chuckling at how alarmed some of these people become - end of the world , sky is falling etc etc

Taskbar Shuffle is a small and simple program, that add a handy new functionality to your Windows taskbar - it enables you to rearrange the taskbar buttons by simply dragging them around. This feature can be quite useful if the order and arrangement of your taskbar buttons is of importance to you. Makes you wonder why the taskbar did not come with this feature in the first place.
