Internet affecting virus/spyware/malware?

Well, I've been living with this problem for a couple of months now and I'm really starting to pull my hair out with it. I have a network at home comprised of 2 computers, a desktop and a laptop.
The desktop is my work computer and as that I need it daily for my job and also require internet as well. My problem is that although my internet is connected fine, I still don't have "full" access to it on my desktop. It works perfectly on my laptop however.

When I go to internet explorer, I get the page cannot be displayed message every time. When I use Firefox on the other hand it says "Done" at the bottom left of the page and doesn't even try to load anything at all. If I persistently command it to load the page it does load after 20 or so tries, but not 100%, as there are graphics and other parts missing to the webpage.

I've tried things such as Winsockxp fix. This makes my connection come back for a few minutes after I restart but after that it stops again. I've scanned with AdAware, Avast, Spybot S&D, and even tried Registry Mechanic, all came up with a few things detected first, but after cleaning still no connection.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated because as of lately I have gotten barely any work done at all. I'll provide any information anyone needs.

Please follow the instuctions exactlly and in the order given.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
• Choose your usual account.

• Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
• Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
• It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
• Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
  (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
• Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Please follow these instructions exactly as given.

Now download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program

1. Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
2. Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
3. On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
   • Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
4. Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
5. Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine ".
6. Under "Reports "
   • Select "Automatically generate report after every scan "
   • Un-Select "Only if threats were found "

Close AVG Anti-Spyware, Do Not run a scan just yet, we will shortly.

1. Reboot your computer into SafeMode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight SafeMode then hit enter.
   IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning, it may interfere with the scanning proccess:
2. Lauch AVG Anti-Spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
3. Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan ".
4. AVG Anti-Spyware will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
   Once the scan is complete do the following:
5. If you have any infections you will prompted, then select "Apply all actions "
6. Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.
7. Select the "Save report as" button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important).
8. Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post the results of the AVG Anti-Spyware report scan.

• First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
• Double click NoLop.exe to run it
• Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy "
  <<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
• When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
• Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
• A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log

--If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program. --

Please post all three logs and a new HJT log.
