Monitor turnoff will happen for 2 seconds when set to 1 minute. Anything longer will not happen. When set to 2 minutes it will turnoff after setting lsass.exe to Suspend in Process Explorer. Since this a System File, I do not think it would be best to leave it off. Ran Virus Scan, and Spyware Apps. This just happened in the last few days. Do not know why.

Went to msconfig (System Configuration Utility) Startup and noticed a Wireless D-Link Router that I do not remember being there before. I removed everything and put them back one at a time. Testing for Turnoff Monitor after each one. They all worked except D-Link. D-Link Router still operates without running by msconfig. Do not know what starts it. Will keep an eye on it.

I spoke too soon. Started the computer today and all back the way it was. Monitor turnoff will happen when set to 1 minute. Anything longer will not happen. Standby will happen wherever it is set. Do not want to use Standby.

Yesterday I set everything to Never. Then later on I Shutoff the computer. Today I decided to try again to fix it. Set Monitor and Hard Disk to turnoff at 10 minutes. It has been turning off every since. Do not know why it is fixed and do not know why the problem started in the first place. Maybe this machine does not like me.

I've felt that way at times too. Computers sometimes seem to operate in very mysterious ways. :)

Anyway, I'm glad your issue appears fixed!
