Well here is my situation. On Saturday AVG found and healed the trojan Hupigon.XTA. I shut off the computer and about three hours later I restarted and I could no longer access the internet with any program. The file that was infected was C:/windows/system32/drivers/tcpip.sys. I assume this has something to do with my ethernet card/driver as I was now getting an error for that. I did a system restore to about a week ago and the internet still wouldn't work. Then the trojan came back and avg fixed it but this time a message came up stating that some windows system files have been changed and to insert the service pack cd. I did this and my internet is now working. Could you please look at my HJT log and see if something is not right and/or suggest other programs to see if the trojan is completely gone. I currently run AVG, Spybot and Adaware. Thanks in advance

Well I ran Kaspersky and nothing was found. I'll try another virus scan later other than Kaspersky and see what happens. Thanks again for your help. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I turned off computer and restarted and the internet is not working. Had to system restore to 3 weeks ago. The infected file C:\windows\system32\drivers\tcpip.sys (TCP/IP Protocol) can't be healed so I guess it gets deleted which I think is what is messing up my computer. Since I have restored to an earlier date will this trojan re-appear or should I be okay? The infected file mentioned above is in the right location for now. What am I to do??? I don't want to shut the computer off until I get some reassurance. Thanks again.

Hard for me to argue with Kaspersky, Spybot, AVG, WD and Ad-aware. ;) Let us know if you continue to have problems.
