Problem is that Windows is expecting your old ATA-66 controller, but the new motherboard has an ATA-100 or 133 controller.

This means that when Windows is loading it's also loading the wrong drivers for the HDD controller.

If the new controller is an Intel brand controller (these usually don't require 3rd party drivers) you may be able to fix it by mounting your disk back in the old machine and going to device manager and remove any and all references to HDD's and Controllers, then shutting down the machine, mount the disk back in the new machine, and Windows should load the default drivers at boot time, hopefully giving you access to the system.

If the new controller does need drivers, you might wish to just boot the new machine from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM, and doing an over the top install. See this thread for more info.

Post back if you have more questions.
