   I need to switch back to IE6 from IE7.... several of my programs will not work with IE7.
   
   Is it possible to go back to IE6 and if so, how ? I don't want to run both.

   Look in Add/Remove Programs for Windows Internet Explorer 7 and click on it > Change/Remove. This will remove IE 7 and restore IE 6.
   
   BTW you cannot run both under normal circumstances - there is/was a dodge to run IE7 in addition to IE 6.
