    Hi, Welcome to WindowsBBS.

    Try this:

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Click Programs
    3. Click Default Programs, then click Set your default programs
    4. Click on Windows Mail in left pane list
    5. Click Set this program as default in the right pane
    6. Click OK to apply and close the window

You probably will not like the mail system when you do get it to open and work properly. Most users complain about it being slow, slower, or slowest!

If you see it this way, suggest you pull up "Windows Live Mail" which is still a Beta I think but you will like it much better I'm sure.

I read somewhere that eventually it will be the recognized and recommended mail for Vista.
