    Hi glengjr21

Yes I see you have several issues.

I see you have the AVG advanced firewall. That is good. But I see evidence of Norton. Was Norton installed then removed? Please let me know!

Please use HiJackThis to remove the below entries. Check them the click fix checked.

    F0 - system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winmgd.win

    F1 - win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\system32\mouse_configurator.win

    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\ssv.dll

    O9 - Extra button: Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe (file missing)

    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Windows Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe (file missing)

    O23 - Service: Adobe Active File Monitor V5 (AdobeActiveFileMonitor5.0) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\PhotoshopElementsFileAgent.exe (file missing)

    O23 - Service: ATI Smart - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ati2sgag.exe (file missing)

Drag you mouse to highlight all between the lines ending at the end of the word exit, once highlighted rt click and chose copy.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    attrib \adfcook*.* -h -s -r /s > "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    attrib \yfafwckk.exe -h -s -r /s >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    attrib \kcehc_*.* -h -s -r /s >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    attrib \mouse_configurator.win -h -s -r /s >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    attrib \winmgd.win -h -s -r /s >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt

    del \adfcook*.* /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del yfafwckk.exe /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \kcehc_*.* /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \mouse_configurator.win /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \winmgd.win /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    netsh interface ip delete arpcache
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /release *
    ipconfig /renew *
    ipconfig /registerdns
    nbtstat -RR
    exit
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Start-Run, type cmd click ok.

A command prompt will open. Rt click inside of this and click paste. When the lines finish the cursor will be blinking beside the word exit. Hit enter and the command prompt will close.

Now look on your desktop for a new file named cleanup. Open it copy the contents and paste back to this thread. After finishing the below steps.

You will need to uninstall all Java and up date to the newest version. Go to Control panel Add/Remove programs and remove

Java and J2SE Runtime Environment entries(all entries)

Then get the latest version from Sun here.

    http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

    Then cleanup time.

    ATF-Cleaner
    http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
when run check select all run again until nothing else found

CCleaner get the slim version http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx

Click bottom right Run Cleaner twice
then in left panel click issues then below Scan for issues run twice or until no more found

    AVG Anti Spyware
    http://www.grisoft.cz/filedir/inst/avgas-setup-7.5.1.43.exe

Install it, update it. Do not run!

Then reboot to Safe Mode and run It (avg antispyware). Delete all found.

Reboot back to normal mode. Now paste back the Cleanup file and a new HJT log.

Then run your own virus scans again.

Then we will continue from there, I don't expect all of the above to work we will need at least 1 more session.

    Ace

OK use HJT to delete all the entries below.

You have Vundo and a trojan which I address below to hopefully finish you up.

The 023 mentioning Symantec told me you have or likely had Norton. We will clean that up after you are clean of malware.

Drag you mouse to highlight all between the lines ending at the end of the word exit, once highlighted rt click and chose copy. Do this now and once again after Vundo runs and you have rebooted.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    attrib \winbfi32.*.* -h -s -r /s > "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \winbfi32.*.* /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    exit
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Please download VundoFix.exe http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4
    Run VundoFix.exe

    Click Scan for Vundo
    When complete, click Remove Vundo

    Answer yes to remove

    Desktop will go blank

    Now OK to reboot

If VundoFix found a file it could not remove it will run again on reboot.
Repeat the Scan and remove as posted above.

Paste the C:\vundofix.txt the Cleanup.txt and new HiJackThis log back to the thread.

OK while I had the time I thought I would post the Norton Symantec cleanup and some additional steps relating to your issues.

BUT!!!! Do not do this post until you have completed the previous one.

First I missed these 2 so use HJT to remove them.

    O4 - Startup: The Matrix_ Path of Neo Registration.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\{08FE338B-B8A0-4458-ACFB-DDF01728C6C4}\{E571E8B1-9771-465D-9DE0-3BA2D1BDAE99}\ATR1.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MemoryManager] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\girbqbpa.dll ",forkonce

    then

Drag you mouse to highlight all between the lines ending at the end of the word exit, once highlighted rt click and chose copy.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    attrib \ATR1.exe -h -s -r /s > "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    attrib \girbqbpa.dll -h -s -r /s >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \\ATR1.exe /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    del \girbqbpa.dll /s /f /q >> "%USERPROFILE% "\Desktop\cleanup.txt
    exit
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paste the Cleanup.txt back to the thread.

OK to address the Norton/Symantec cleanup. Norton is not easy to remove.

No need to reinvent the wheel so do the following links. Read entire thread for understanding but Skip down and do Posts 8 and 9.

anyways those trojans i mentioned didnt seem to come up..but i managed to score different ones..lol i just want them all to go and not come back.
    Quote!

I hope you meant that AVG AntiSpyware and your other scans found "different ones.." and cleaned them.

If not please don't keep their names secret. It is a lot easier if we have the names and details.

So how bout some names and numbers!

    Now run this online scan

    Hi glengjr21 :)

Lets see if we can finish getting you cleaned up.

First, is Chariot your ISP? http://www.chariot.net.au/

Scan again with HijackThis, place a check next to the following entry, close all other windows and click Fixed Checked.

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: winbfi32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winbfi32.dll

    Close HijackThis.

Open Add/Remove programs and uninstall all Java Runtime Environmets (JRE).

    Reboot.

Go to the java.com website and install the latest, Version 6 Update 2.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
    • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC now button
    • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
    • Enter your Country
    • Enter your State/Province
    • Enter your e-mail address and click send
    • Select either Home User or Company
    • Select the appropriate Yes or No to receiving marketing information
    • Click the Free Online Scan button
    • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
    • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
    • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
    • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.
Post the contents of the ActiveScan report along with a fresh HJT log.

I still see signs of previous versions of Java. Did you uninstall them and get the updated version as recommended? Older versions are exploitable if left on the system, even if not in use. It is important to remove those and update.

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune and save it to your Desktop.
Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Check the box to Select All and click Empty Selected.

Download the Killbox from here and save it to the desktop.
Copy the bolded blue list below by highlighting and pressing Ctrl+C

    C:\WINDOWS\hh.ico
    C:\WINDOWS\downloaded program files\f3initialsetup1.0.0.15.inf
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\winbfi32.dll

Double-click the KillBox icon on your desktop to open it
Select the box Delete on Reboot
Then click the All Files button.
Click File and choose Paste from Clipboard.
Click the red x [Delete File] button.
Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click Yes at the Pending Operations prompt.

If the computer does not reboot on it's own, restart it yourself.

After reboot, delete the following folder in bold.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\{38A01CE0-0BB0-3081-1214-03031028003d}

Scan again with HijackThis, place a check next to the following entries and click Fix Checked.

    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: winbfi32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winbfi32.dll

Close HijackThis and reboot once more.

Scan again with HijackThis and post the new log.
