I've (I could bite my a** for this ;)) set my pc from acpi complient system to "Standard PC" and now I can't select the acpi system anymore.

Do I have to re-install or is there a way to get acpi working without it?

    Thanks in advance, Legshot

    Really? How?

    The former :(

Select the upgrade installation option which should result in the loading of the appropriate HAL. During the installation, select the option to install third party SCSI drivers and, when prompted, specify your PC type as ACPI an compliant single processor.

Before commencing this process, you may wish to check that ACPI is enabled in the BIOS.
