Good Morning, I was trying to figure out where to post this, so if this is the wrong place, please move.

Now, I've been setting up an exchange 2003 server in my network for my business, and i finally got it set up (horray) but now, I try to set it up so that users outside of the office can access thier emails (I already got the webpart set up, no problem. But I want users to access it via pop/smtp. When I try to start the pop3 service in the exchange manager, it gives an error when trying to start the service. I already have the ports for pop3 and smtp fowarded to my server. For now they can access via the website (webmail) But I want them to be able to acess it over outlook/outlookexpress(or any one of thier favorite email clients)

Can I get any help with this posibly, I don't know exactly what to look out for as far as reasons why pop3 and why it won't intsall the service and pop/smtp settings on the server end. (more familer with SMTP at this point than pop3)

On Windows 2003 / Exchange 2003, pop3 and smtp services are configured via IIS, not Exchange. Therefore you should add the services via add / remove programs, instead of the Exchange installer program.
