   There's no such thing as Windows live mail Desktop.
   
   There was at one time, but it has been renamed to Windows Live Mail Beta.
   
   If you look at the Windows Live Mail Beta web site, you'll find the System Requirements, which list:
   
   Operating system Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista
