I just got an email with the From and To line being my personal email address and i am ticked from a canadian drup company.

i am very careful about this type of stuff happening ao i am at a loose to figure out how this is happening. can anyone explain how this is happening and is there anything i can do to stop it before my clients start getting them. have already emailed my client base that its not me sending them but if there is a way to stop this cold i would like to know how.

I would haphazard a guess and say that someone with your email address in their address book has a trojan which causes this. You would need to track down the owner with the infected computer. It seems that the email header/properties should contain the infected computer's IP.

sorta what i figured. sure could make it embarrasing as a business for clients to get some of those spam emails with my name attached to it. clients would figure it must be okay if greg is emailing us.

    thanks all.

BTW, I think that IP address is invalid. I think all the numbers must be 255 or less for an IP address.
