    Hello,

I have extended my windows desktop across two 20 inch monitors. The extension has gone smoothly and works as expected. I was wondering if anyone new of a way to have a seperate background image for each of the two monitors.

    Thanks for the help.

BrianSu - Welcome to the Board:)

Not possible AFAIK - the 'desktop' on your second monitor is not independent of the main desktop, but part of it.

    Thanks PeteC,

When I was able to control which monitor certain applications opened in I had hoped that would extend to the actual desktop background. I appreciate you response.

If you don't mind parting with $39.95 the following should provide what you want plus a noumber of additional options.
UltraMon - Utility for multi-monitor systems. Features
You should find what your looking for under ...
"Multi-monitor support for desktop wallpapers and screen savers." Desktop

    Thanks PeteC,

This was what I was looking for. I don't exactly want to shell out $39.00, but hopefully work will. I will be passing this on to many people who were just as interested in additional extended windows functionality as I was. Thanks again.

No problem, thanks to both BrianSu and PeteC.
When you first posted back with a "Thank you" told us where your heart was. :)

The forum would be most appreciative if you could post back with insights to UltraMon software. Members are always looking for good quality software. Comments per compatibility with OS (XP / Vista) and any issues with hardware (monitors / graphic cards / drivers) and 3rd party apps (not a gamer, but is it a friendly gamer addition) would be welcome. This thread will be eventually closed. If not available create a new post in Other Software. Again, thanks for posting back.
