I have a huge problem with my computer.

When I reboot it works for a few minutes / seconds then its stuck.
I can't use the taskbar at all or click on anything on the desktop. Win button also doesn't work.
I can still move the mouse though.

I have reinstalled win multiple times.

    Anyone know help?

Mycorrhiza - Welcome to the Board :)

You will need to give us a few more details .....

    Is this a recent occurence?

Is this a computer which you have used for some time or one which you have recently built?

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode?

If not my guess is that you have a hardware problem, possibly temperature related - an overheating CPU will shut down for self protection - could be a hard drive problem. Endless possibilities, but to proceed further we need the answers to the questions above.

The comp works just fine until I have started windows.

So any operation in BIOS or installation is no problem. It only occurs a few seconds sometimes minutes AFTER the Desktop has loaded.

The reinstalls were therefore all completed normally.

The problem occured without any reason I could figure out (no hardware change or anything else), it was about 2 weeks ago.

    The specs:
    CPU: AMD X2 3800+
    GPU: Geforce 7800GTX
    Ram: 400Mhz DDR 1GB Samsung
    Mainboard: Asus A8n SLI

Thanks for trying to help :)
