Up until about a week ago I had no problems connecting wireless to the internet. Now, every time I boot, I get no connection and have to "diagnose and repair" and it is always the same statement "Windows Wireless Service not started ".
Where is it and how do I start it automatically?
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Toshiba Laptop

    Thank you.

Thanks Tony, for your reply. I have no Wireless Zero in my Services. I have Googled everywhere to no avail. I probably am looking for the wrong word or phrase...

    1. Go to "Start" and then click on "Runâ€.
    2. When the Run box opens, just type in "services.msc" and press "OKâ€. Next the Services applet will load.
Here's a good description of Vista Services:

    re the wireless issue:
Right click the wifi icon to get a menu for additional options and settings.

note: the Windows Wireless Service won't start automatically if your Vista computer is a notebook and the notebook has a switch on it to toggle wifi on & off. The switch must be on for the wireless service to load automatically.

Not sure of vista but in xp it is run >services.msc ( or can get to it through control panel admin i think)

wireless zero configuration - enable it auto or manual
at the worst reinstall the driver

Yes, that's how to start those services. But you should also configure your wifi to automatically connect to your wlan, that way the services should start at boot.
