Any ideas why i may not be able to connect to this page? I have reset the modem as per web site instructions! So have the default address which is 192.168.1.1 but all i get is can not connect to server error. I need This as i want to access the admin side of things! Is it worth doing an uninstall and starting again!

    Any help gratefully received!

An uninstall of what? There's no need to install anything to setup a router, though some routers provide a "no brainer" setup cdrom, it's unnecessary. Do this:

    1. unplug power from modem.
2a. press reset button on back of router & hold in for 3-4 seconds.
2b. when finished resetting, unplug power from router.
    3. shutdown computer.
    4. plugin modem power, wait until is synchronized completely.
    5. connect modem to WAN port on router.
    6. power on the router, wait until it is synched w/ the modem. (10-15 seconds)
    7. connect cat5 from computer to LAN port on router.
    8. turn on computer.
    9. access router control panel:
    192.168.1.1
    username: (blank, don't type anything)
    password: admin (all lowercase)
