Trying to find out what a user did on a notebook

I have a user who used a spare notebook of mine and we believe he used it for non work purpose. He has already deleted the "Favorites, bookmarks and history" on the notebook.

is here a way that I can find this information out. is there a 3rd party pgm that i can run that will tell us this info.

Arie's suggestion is the best one but you can also look at temp files and cookies (sites and original install dates should be viewable) for a quick check to determine if additional investigation is warranted.

 

Do you recommend a freeware or trailware program?

If the user didn't download and install a cleaning program and only deleted the cache you can download Index Dat Spy and view what, where and when the sites they visited.
