I'm trying to untangle some confusion in my own mind on EXACTLY...TO THE LETTER how to create an ISO of my C: drive that will boot automatically when I have NOTHING on the C: drive in order to re-install the OS and all the apps on it. I'm using CDBurner XP3. It has both capabilities for ISO ops, as well as making it a bootable. Which ISO command should I use? 1.) Save Image as ISO file, 2.) Write Disk from ISO file, or 3.) Convert ISO image. I'm guessing it wouldn't be #3. And I'm thinking my 1st operation would be #1, then #2 for safe keeping.

    Thanks in Advance,
    KC:confused:

An ISO image alone won't do what you want to do, even if you make it a bootable cd. You'll need to use a 3rd party program to make the image file and to restore it to the partition, such as Norton Ghost. There are freeware programs that can do this too.
