A minor irritant, but perhaps somebody might have a suggestion. Oftentimes, unless I apply firmer pressure, my left shift key fails to produce the required capitalization. It means that I then have to go back to the start of sentences and apply heavier pressure. Is there any way that I can 'loosen up' this key so that it functions with a lighter touch? The Dell wireless keyboard is less than a year old. Thank you. :(

Thanks, Paul, I haven't tried that but will give it a try.

I suggest using a can of compressed air. Something is partially blocking the contact of the key against the circuit membrane underneath. With an simpler keyboard, I would disassemble it, and clean all with alcohol.
With the keyboard you seem to have, disassembly may render it inoperative, beside the fact that parts will be falling out everywhere.

Any chance it is still under warranty?
    Should investigate prior to dismantling.
    Good luck.

Thanks, folks. I'll check out my purchase date and pursue the warranty route :)
