After I log in to IE, the start page hangs up and it shows that it is still loading. The next thing shows that IE is not responding. So I proceeded to try to reboot the system. Same thing continues as before that page is still loading and goes into IE not responding. Therefore, I went to System Restore and system restored to 07-02-2007. Tried again to start up IE and same thing happened.
Is there anyway I can restore to an earlier date when all was working? The only date showing for restore is 07-02-2007. OR Is there anyway I can get to change the start up page BEFORE it gets to the page that seems to be hanging up the system?
I am using XP Home Edition with IE.

It would seem that you have a problem with System Restore if only one restore point is shown - that's the subject for a new thread.
Right click on the IE icon on the Desktop or wherever > Properties. This takes you straight into Internet options where you can change the Home page.

If that does not work and if you are running IE7 try Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (no add ons).

I had a similar thing happen the other day. It was due to my internet service being down....Can you receive emails?

Or, while IE is doing it's thing, can you select favorites and try a different site?

Thanks to both of you. I tried the right click on the IE icon and got to change the homepage. Whew! I figured it was better to have a more stable(?) homepage than what I had.

Glad to hear that you managed to sort that out easily :)
