Is there a way to show folder sizes in Windows Explorer? My old Mac could do it easily.

Hope this is what you are looking for. Right click on any folder, Click on properties. It will show you the size of folder and the number of files and size in it. Not sure if that is what you are looking for. Have a good day.

I am talking about showing the size of the folder along with the other files in a folder.

In Windows Explorer go to View and click on "Status Bar." That will show the size of and number of files in a selected folder in the status bar at the bottom of the window.

If you want the information displayed in columns next to and in the same window as the file, go to View and select "Details." You'll probably have to resize the columns to arrange them the way you want.

Once you have it the way you like it and if you want all folders to look the same, go to Tools>Folder Options, click on the View tab and hit the "Apply to all folders" button.

scottmso - If what you want is a listing of size for folders like you get in the right hand pane for files when you select "detailed" for the view, you are out of luck unless there is a 3rd party program out there somewhere that will do the job.

And I have long wished for the feature myself.
