Windows Vista USB Serial Adapter

    I have been seaching for my usb serial adpater driver with no luck
    Can someone help me

    i am using window Vista everytime i put the usb in the device management it say human interface device. went to manufacturer website.
    Only have Windows XP.:confused:

    Would be helpful if you posted details of the adapter, but if the manufacturer's website only offers XP drivers you are out of luck. May be worth dropping their support an email though.

    USB, from what I can see, has been pretty much "plug and play" since Win XP SP2.

    If they are separate, the USB drivers should be bundled with the chipset drivers. Find the chipset drivers at the computer/motherboard manufacturer's website...THEN, if Vista drivers are not available, you may be able to find Vista drivers at the chipset manufacturer's website. For example, a motherboard may be manufactured by Asus, it has a VIA chipset. If the Vista USB drivers (read chipset drivers) cannot be found at Asus, they may be available at VIA.

    You need to know the model of the chipset.

    Everest in my signature might help, although it is the old, free version.
