I am having problems getting logged onto the internet. My internet provider (cable modem) says it isn't on their end, it is something on mine.

When I get logged onto the internet, I get the following window:

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience.

I have Internet Explorer 7.0 and am running Windows XP Professional with Service pack 2

I also get the option of sending or not sending and error report to Microsoft. So this leads me to believe it isn't a virus, spyware or trogan but part of the operating system??? I read somewhere that is it is part of the Windows Application Programming Interface (API) for developing 32 bit applications.

I have Norton and my computer gets a full scan every day, and I did 2 today and nothing is showing up. Also our internet has all kinds of virus protections etc.

I have no clue how to remedy this situation

    Thanks
    Ginny
