I have removed WMP 11 from Program files and from Add/Remove and deleted all shortcuts
I have run search and deleted all.
I have also unticked it in Windows Components.
When I go to install WMP 9 I get the mesage that a more recent version is installed therefore installation won't proceed.

Which version of WMP were you using before 11? May be best to reinstall 11 and follow these instructions from Microsoft ....

    Thanks Pete,
I did try rollback and it INSTANTLY said rollback completed...but nothing had happened.
However I will proceed again following the instructions you posted.
    Thanks for your response.
    I had WMP9

I had Media Player 11 on my computer. It had more problems than I could count. The procedure posted by PeteC sould work. I rolled mine back to Media Player 10 and I dont remember using most of those steps. I only remember going to Add and Remove Programs, clicked remove and it reverted back to Media Player 10.
