Color Problem With Windows XP

Hi there, I have for the past week had strange color issues with my desktop. The best way I can explain it, is that the actual graphics capability is still there (I can still run my favorite video games) yet on all the images... including my desktop background, the colors are off-strange if you must say. In detail: I noticed that in video games, there is a multi colored ring around my character in Guild Wars: Nightfall

This problem is not limited to just games, however. All images and icon on my computer are distorted.

I will be more than happy to provide an image for you all to reference if needed. Im using an Nvidia GF 5200 ultra, windows XP, 2.4ghz.

Even if I can find what this problem is called, I would be better able to research and find out how to correct it. Thank you for any help!

 

Does this happen in safe mode?

Have you tried reloading your video drivers?

 

Ahh, reloading the graphics drivers worked perfectly! Here I was all along, trying these difficult ideas, when I didn't even do the fix i should have tried first
