Hi,
I don't know what this would be classified under., but here goes.
I have several personas as Artist on MySpace.
Before I go to the site I clear my browser cache on IE7 by going to properties and doing the DELETE ALL function. After IE7 goes thru its process I log on as one Artist to communicate.

While waiting for a reply I go back to IE7 and clear the cache again. then go back to my space and sign in as another Artist to handle communications for that Artist.

My problem is that sometime during the process of communicating the second persona I have signed in with suddenly switches to the first ID without telling me it did so. I found this out by clicking on HOME and bingo! both my HOME clicks showed me logged in as the first persona.

My question is: How can I keep this from happening. Obviously the server is reaching into my computer and identifying both of my personas as belonging to the same computer and lumping them together as the first persona I signed in with instead of keeping them seperate.

If they have a Log Off function - use that to clear out your cookie.

Probably a cookie thing. Look and see in the Temp Internet Files folder if clearing the cache also deletes the cookies, if not try deleting them manually, or at least the one/s for that site. If that does not work then you might have to also clear the index.dat file, but even then it may not help as all cookies leaving your machine will have the same username attached to them. You would have to spoof a different username on outgoing cookies for different accounts. Pretty sure you could do that with Proxomitron.

Your IP address might also be logged and taken into account, or even your MAC address if you are using a cable modem or connecting through any kind of router.

Edit: Lol, sometimes the obvious is hard to see Steve. Logging out might indeed work.

Hi,
I can't logput because then I could not continue to communicate as both the Artists simutaneously as I would be logged out as one Artist...

I need a software that will allow me to enter a site without that site being able to gain acces to the IP address I am using or the computer ID...

What I need is a stealth type software that will allow me to access the site as 2 or three independent users without any type of crossreference being able to ID me as just one user...I have several accounts and I would like to go back and forth responding to seperate user communication at one time instead of having to handle each individual account in a real time one at a time basis.

It is most likely just cookies that is the problem, so separate machines or Virtual OSes running in VirtualPC or VMware could have their own unique usernames and cookies. If the IP address is a factor then the Virtual OSes could be routed through remote proxies to change the IP address the MySpace server sees. Not a simple thing to setup and run, but I can’t immediately think of another way to do it. Perhaps someone else will see an easier way.

You should be able to open separate browser windows and logon as a different user in each window. The browser is smart enough to distinguish different cookies & sessions.
