    Hi captjlddavis

I'm like you, like to see the seconds ticking away in my clock view. These types of programs are a dime a-dozen and I think I tried just about all of them. When it comes to screen real estate, I'm very demanding in minimal usage. I found one that was extremely accommodating and has a number of caveats. See the attached jpg. It is TWO pictures (each end my Task Bar) stitched together. Total length of both 1.25 inch of horizontal space. The left side of picture is my "Start" button shorten to "S ", the right is my clock. Sitting in a one line task bar, it allows to display two lines of info (if you want or one long one). Also, if I (left click) double click on the time clock it will return me to my "Desk Top" view (this has numerous options). If I "(right click) on Time Clock, a menu screen is displayed. From here you have a number of options, settings. The name is tClockLite (zip install) and Getting started page view. It is a 7K running program (I have it in my auto start group). All the settings are stored in program folder tclock.ini file. It is open source, so not a lot of explanations. But with settings not wrote to registry, can't hurt much. If you like I can send you my 2k ini file which will give you my settings. Have fun.

    EDIT
    Oops, just added JPG

    Dennis,
Thanks for the info. I am not interested in the clock display at the bottom, I am more interested in the timestamp display in the file manager (I don't use Windows Explorer for file management) but I did solve MY problem...
    I appreciate the reply.

    regards:captjddavis

    Sorry 'bout that....
As I said "I don't use Windows Explorer for file management ".......
I go back to the old DOS days and Norton Commander.....
I use Total Commander and custom columns.....

Its not for everyone, but I like it. ( hate M$ Windows)
