Really get a bit weary of constantly resizing the window when using links etc. Have found no way to keep the max size after trying old methods from XP.
Do use IE Maximizer software on an XP system to auto resize all windows to max, my preference-but have not found software to do that on Vista
    So two parts

1-would like a method to resize and cause all future windows to open to the new size

    and

2-would appreciate a pointer to a software that would auto resize all opening windows

    thank you

    Hi,
The old rules seem to still apply for my system  . The size and whether the window is maximized is controlled by how the windows were left when the program was closed or the system was shut down. Although, without checking, if you have many windows maximized and just one "restored ", the program will open with a restored window.

If you like the windows at maximum size when you open the program you should be able to resize one restore window by dragging the sides, using the double-headed arrow, until it is virtually a maximised window, close the program, then, any restored windows should open as virtually "maximized" if they start in the restored mode. (I have set this and used it for weeks without noticing any difference between maximized and restored windows.)

If I am misreading your question, let me know.

    Matt

    Hello Matt

    Thank you.

Do the manual resize and shut down-but the link windows continue to open minimized. Can't seem to get them to act as they did in XP or as you are able to get them to work on your system

    Apperciate your time and response

    Tom
