    Hi all,
    When i start my computer, I get a screen that shows 2 operating systems to boot from. They are Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional. I use Windows XP and I have already deleted the old Windows 2000 folder but still I get the option to boot into Windows 2000. I heard that to solve this problem it involves editing the boot.ini file. I know how to access it so I need to know what line of the boot.ini file to remove. I would appreciate any suggesstions. Thanks! :)

    it says
    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS= "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptOut
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT= "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

    Recommend you post the contents of the boot.ini file, so that proper instructions can be given.

    Delete this line:

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT= "Microso ft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

    Doing so will allow you to boot directly to XP without a pause for the Boot Options screen.

    Don't forget to save the file after editing.
