Bigtaff - Welcome to the Board :)

No trace of that message on Google which does not bode well - your computer may be infected. Is the spelling absolutely correct?

Please download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature and save it to a folder on your hard drive, say C:\HJT - not to the Desktop or a temporary location. When entries are fixed with HJT a backup is made to the folder from which HJT is run and this must be in a permanent location.

Open the folder in which you placed HJT and double click on hijackthis.exe and select Scan and save a log file - this will be saved in the folder from which you ran HJT - post the log here.

I will then move your thread to the Removing Spyware & Viruses forum for attention. You will need to be patient :)

That error is related to the BT (Motive) Broadband connection software. Try shutting down the application prior to shutting down the computer.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS borderline :)

I don't have the BT software, so I can't be sure, but you should have an icon for it by the clock in the taskbar when it's enabled, and generally a right click on it would bring up a menu with an option to exit.

Check the All Programs list for it. I'll try to dig up something more concrete this evening.

Ok, problem solved. I had to uninstall 'BT Broadband Desktop Help' and then reinstall it again.
After I did that I got a different message when shutting down: Mccwaswindow but this time I went to start programs and I unchecked BTHelpNotifier, I rebooted and no more annoying messages ;)
