Where is the setting or area where I can check to see which program handles certain file types?

For instance I have a friend who is newer than I am trying to use TB and he wants to associate wmv files with Media Player.

Apparently I don't know where to look because I haven't found it yet.

    Thanks.

    From TB view -- Tools|Options|Attachments.
See Download Actions phrase, below phrase see and
Click on "View and Edit Actions "

You should now have "Download Actions" screen view.
To my knowledge, you con not "Add" an action from this view. The "Add" function occurs when you open/save the attached file within the email. If she has already performed and saved an " "action" which is incorrect, you can "change" it from this view or delete it. If she deletes, then go back to email/attached file and assign the correct / preferred program to open it.

    Thanks.

That was the area I was in and I guess I just didn't understand it.

When I click on a wmv file in my own mailbox I get the "open with" question and was assuming that it would show up in that window. I think I was looking for a list like there used to be in Netscape Mail and Newsgroups.

Most of us, when we receive an attached file, first save the file to an preferred area on our computer. Now the file can pickup it's file association and the preferred program will launch. The global understanding when in emails with file attachments, do we choose "Play (or) Save ".... and repeat this action every time (option) or have the question ask each time (option). Only if you select "Play" must you then assign file association to choose which program to open the file with.
