Sometimes when I address a URL everything seems to happen right but when the process is finished I have the site, on the second line up from the bottom of my screen it says "done" and "internet" but the screen is blank. I have this happen with www.virtuallythere.com (for example). I used another system to get to the same address and the site came up as expected. Any idea where the problem might be ?

    salschifano...

I just went to virtuallythere.com and got the same thing you did. It was a blank page and said done at the bottom of the page. I went Tools/internet options/security tab and added virtuallythere.com to my trusted sites and the page began to load. Even though it took forever to load, it did. I have had this since I set up internet, trusted and restricted zones on my security tab. Some sites not on my trusted sites list come right up and some do not. I don't know why.

    Just a thought...

Strange, but I had no problems getting it to load (without the need to add it to my trusted sites). What are your security settings, Bill?

    Hey Brett,

My internet zone is custom with all active x and java turned to disable. In general, I'd say high security on internet, low on trusted and all cookies are blocked. I suppose there are some sites that will not load if you won't accept their cookies?

I like to surf on my terms, not theirs....

Bill - your settings are a notch higher than mine so I'd guess that's the cause of the problem here (especially if yziaD has similar settings to you).

Thanks for all the ideas. I was also having trouble with some of the choices at the usair.com site and on their home page the graphic was missing. All of the choices that said java script failed to load all other's loaded. I tried Netsacape and it worked so I downloaded IE 6 again and now everything seems ok. I wish I could tell you what was corrupted but that's beyond me.
