    Hi ,

I have installed Windows 2000 Pro and SP2, I found that the PC was very slow, fault traced to no DMA 100 Hard disk support in Win 2K !

Microsoft have a patch but it only works on SP1 !

Too much software loaded since SP2 to consider un-installing it

    Any ideas ?

Thanks for the info, but DMA is not working, the PC is a dual boot with Windows ME, hard disk performance (as measured with Performance Test) is a third of the speed with same PC, same spec, different OS
