    another user's account?

I might have just named another account as admin. I think there was a user name in the next field. It seems that I can access the original admin when I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice. But I lost my MS Office. Maybe I installed a pirated addition under that user name and now it asks for the original disk in order to continue to configure/install when I try to open up Word, Excel, etc.

    help

You cannot delete the Administrator account. You could have deleted another account which had administrator rights.

To log into the build-in admin account, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice to display the Log on to Windows dialog box. Type Administrator in the user name box and enter the password you created for the Administrator account during setup. After you log on as administrator you can create other user accounts.

Not maybe... you would know what you did.

So get a legit copy of the software you're trying to use.

Without knowing what's happening, either run SFC /scannow, or do a Windows XP repair install.
