How to remove Pre Startup "legal text" window?

    [FONT= "Book Antiqua"][SIZE= "3"]:) Good day. I got a PC running on XP Pro SP2. Every time it boots up it displays a kind of copyright window "This computer system is private property of......blah blah blah ". Could some one please tell me how can I remove this window?[/SIZE][/FONT]

    It's most likely on an office machine, in that case it would be part of the group policy settings.

    If you have access to regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon

    The relevant registry keys are

    LegalNoticeText
