Just recently (tonight) i started having some major issues with my computer. I was just playing a game (counter-strike) and noticed that about every 15-20 seconds, or when i pushed too many keys (so it seemed), my computer would stop responding to what i do for about two seconds. Basically, if i was moving diagonally and i tried to fire (holding W, A and left click) it would continue to move and fire even after i let go for some time after. I think i noticed this also when i was playing another game, where i would move my character and let go of the movement key, but the character would keep moving or the command would keep going. Do you think this is a problem with my keyboard and/or mouse? I just recently bought a logitech MX518 (awesome mouse) and the problem became increasingly more common just tonight. On the other game i played i had an older mouse so i'm gonna guess that it's not a mouse issue. Could it be something to do with the sticky key stuff? I think i disabled that though... Thanks for your time, and sorry the explanation is so long! I just don't know how to describe what happens thoroughly.

    Thanks

From a similar experience of my my own with a couple of older games I would suggest checking up on how much stuff is running at the same time.

    Alias: Overload and/or conflicts.

Your computer is not locking up; it's just busy. All computers have what's known as a "type ahead buffer" designed to hold keystrokes (the number of which varies with various programs). This allows typing smoothly and is a great aid. You can change the speed and/or number, sometimes in a program, or in the BIOS setup program. And of course you can slow down your typing speed if ir's causing you problems.

Thank you both BillyBob and sparrow. I was already beginning to believe that my computer was running too much and/or it was just too busy. Problem is with games like counter-strike I'm not sure if there is that keystroke limit. It's odd how it just recently started to occur though, I'll look into further though. Thanks guys
