I'm using an Aopen AK86-L Motherboard, with an IDE HDD as my primary drive. Today I bought a SATA HDD to use a a secondary drive and I can't get my BIOS to see it. The error I get when I boot up reads, "Hardward Initiate failed, Please Check Device!!! The Bios does not be installed. Press <g> to continue!" (Yes, I am aware of the wonky grammar. lol)

I've never installed a SATA HDD before. I've installed the VIA SATA RAID Controller drivers in Windows, but I take it there's something I'm not doing. Also, I'm not really familiar with RAID arrays and all that. Can anyone help?

lol, thanks. I do believe that would have fixed my problem. Sadly I became impatient and exchanged it for an IDE drive. I appreciate it though!
