Hello, I don't know what I did wrong but the screen that use to be on my desktop Windows XP PRO that I saw when I clicked "Start/Shutdown/Startup etc" is gone. It now has this weird small box on the screen that says "Log Off, Restart,Shutdown, or Standby ". can you tell me what I did and how to get back to the good old screen for shuting down or restarting my PC.
    Thanks,,
    ~Paul

    Hi, Paul. :)

I did some searching for an easy fix for your problem but I am not confident about suggesting any of the possible fixes I found. :(

If your problem recently started occuring, then see if you can recall what hardware/software/registry changes you might have made to your computer immediately before the problem arose.

Perhaps you can use System Restore to revert your computer back to the state it was in before the problem arose.
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
