I recently added a new hard drive and set it up as the Master drive. I set up Outlook Express on the new drive but I am unable to import my messages and folders from the old drive. I copied the files to the new drive but when I try to import I receive a message stating the account already exists. Is there any way I can reterive my old messages and files from the old Outlook express and import them into the current account? Thank you.

jricc - Welcome to the Board :)

You should have no problem importing your old files using File > Import Messages > Outlook Express 6 > Browse to the location of your copied files ....

If that route is not working close OE and search your drive for *.dbx files - include hidden files and folders. Those that you find under Documents & Settings are the files for the new install od OE. Rename each one ...Old.dbx, e.g. InboxOld.dbx, etc. Copy, do not move your *.dbx files from the old hard drive to the Documents & Settings location and fire up OE.

You should see all the original folders now named ...Old plus the files from your original OE setup Inbox, Outbox, etc. Drag any emails from the ....Old folders into the appropriate folder, InboxOld > Inbox, etc and delete the ...Old folder.
