    Hi all.
I use the trend micro pc-cillian internet suite protection. There is a section (data theft protection) where you can block your credit card numbers, telephone, etc.. by inputing just 4 numbers on said credit card. From leaving the computer without you allowing it. Its pretty cool. Anyways while browsing varies sites I'll get a popup saying pc-cillian blocked such and such a site froming taking that number.

But, the past few days when I've come here I'll get hit hard and pc-cillian will block 10-20 attempts us-intellitxt.com from nicking my CC numbers.
Should I or the admin on this site be concerned?
    Heres this mornings log.

Let me guess: If you search the log for the 4 numbers you are watching for you'll probably find them... but not your full credit card number...

That's the problem with 'looking' for only a short string of numbers... if it where 8 instead of 4 you'd have a much smaller chance you'll find that string 'at random'.

I understand that the chances are greater when "looking" for a short strings of numbers but, why is it looking? Why are these numbers leaving my comp?
    Thanks

Most likely cookies that track which ads you have seen...

    After seeing this:
    us-intellitxt.com

I would concur with Arie, cookies likely. Intellitext would absolutely be doing that to track activity and so forth. It may not be specific with a 'tag' of you but not a threat.

Still a little uncomfortable with it but I guess as lg as pc-cillian does its job I guess I should be semi safe.

Simple solution is to keep no credit card details or bank a/c nos on the computer :)

    Hello Hill,

Or another option is to keep them on a removable drive, plug it in when needed for the time accessing bank accounts - less exposure.

    Regards - Charles
