    Hello panchal,

For more info on which system process failed:

Right click on My Computer, then Manage.
On the left you will see Event Viewer. Expand that (click on the plus sign).

Then click on Application and System in turn and see if there are any errors being logged by the system when the problem occurs.

Right clicking on a line and then clicking on Properties will give you a window with more info concerning that line. You'll see in the top section right below the down arrow, a text graphic symbol. Clicking on that will place the error info text into your clipboard (memory). Bring up Notepad and right click and paste, that will transfer it to Notepad. You can then paste the text into your next post here.

    Regards - Charles

    Hi panchal,

In researching this error, it's either the ROM drive or the DVD that is bad.

    To narrow this down:

Can you read other DVD's in this drive? Then most likely the DVD is unreadable, at least by this drive (some drives are better than others with boderline CD's/DVD's).

If not, can you try the DVD in another system and see if it reads? And if yes, then most likely, the ROM is the problem.

    Regards - Charles

Check for any newer drivers at the manufacturer's site.
You don't say, can the ROM read other CD's or DVD's?

Forgot to add in my last post:

    Give uninstalling/reinstalling a try.

Uninstall the ROM in Device Manager > reboot. On bootup, the system will recognize the ROM and reinstall the driver.
