Incredimail turns up in Prefetch

    I have deleted Incredimaill program files but its install file keeps turning up in WNNT/Prefetch. How do I kill it?

    I have Windows XP Pro for myu home office. I swear I have done this before but can't find any notes.

    Do you really mean that or did you uninstall through Add/Remove Programs?

    Try running Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove references to Incredimail

    Incredimail intall in Prefetch

    I did not use the Add/Remove Programs to remove Incredimail because I never installed it. I therefore cannot use the Windows Install Clean Up (although I tried) because the installation never went through it. I cannot now install Incredimail(and then remove it) because the files are missing.

    The Installation tries to install the files, and fails.

    Any suggestions?

    Best suggestion is to search the Registry for references to Incredimail and delete them - after exporting the registry string(s) for safety.
